Just in at Mint (2nd and Fir st) A beautiful selection of blankets by British artist, Eleanor Pritchard. Many sizes, patterns and colours to choose from!
A love of pattern and colour runs through all of Eleanor Pritchard’s woven designs. The aesthetic is fresh and contemporary, with a nod to English mid-century design.
The Fabrics draw inspiration from traditional British woven textiles, re-interpreting the vernacular for a contemporary audience.
The blankets are all designed and samples by Eleanor in her London studio and are woven at a small traditional mill in Wales. They are all produced in 100& pure new wool, with a blanket stitch edging.

New at Mint Gallery - 1805 Fir St - we introduce Donna Wilson.
Exploring the art of illustration in design, Donna creates cushions, ceramics, creatures and more.
Donna Wilson set up her company in 2003, after making knitted creatures for her final show at the Royal College of Art. The creatures were in instant hit, and since then she has built her business designing and making collections of curious cushions, humourous ceramics, and so many more friendly pieces for the home.
Donna, born in Scotland, now runs a studio and workshop in London England. Passionate about making products that people can connect with, the studio is committed to making things customers will treasure for a life time.
In 2010 Donna won the coveted “Designer of the Year” award at Elle Decoration’s British Designer Awards.
Donna draws her inspiration from everything around her, including landscapes, music, dreams, magazines, ceramics, Scandinavian design, and of course people.
She begins by sketching in her note book - “they look like little cartoons, tiny bodies with huge exaggerated heads.” she gets their look on paper first, and then starts knitting.

“MORE THE MERRIER CANDLE HOLDER” - On Display at Mint!
LOUISE CAMPBELL ON THE DESIGN ”A candlestick that is everything but streamlined. As the saying goes: the more elements you join together, the merrier the result. Can be constructed in infinite ways. The design is a blend of the formal and the informal. The crystal-inspired candleholders are made of the softest matt rubber; the garland-like arms are pressed in hardwearing steel and then coated. Assembly can be conducted with a sense of meticulous symmetry, or with complete chaos, as you wish. Using 4, 7, 14, 27, 77, 189… elements, according to desire.” Contains: 7 candleholders and 6 connectors

THOMAS BERNSTRAND ON THE DESIGN ”Studio is a study in reducing the archetypical industry lamp to its essence. Thereby creating a lamp that works well in both private and commercial surroundings as a very functional lamp with a strong character.” Dimensions: Ø 39 cm, height 29 cm
“E27 SOCKET LAMP” - new colours arriving soon!
MATTIAS STÅHLBOM ON THE DESIGN ”E27 departs from the essence of a lamp - the socket – creating a simple yet strong object that celebrates the potential beauty in simplicity. “PLUGGED PENDANT” - arriving soon!
BROBERG & RIDDERSTRÅLE ON THE DESIGN ”The Plugged pendant lamp plays with the elements most lighting armatures try to hide. It emphasizes how the lamp is “brought to life” thereby giving it character and difference. The space between the shade and the ceiling is highlighted by the pattern of the textile cord - and the placing of the plug on the side gives the lamp a dynamic appearance and brings life to an otherwise static typology. The concave diffuser adds to the freshness with the infinite sensation you get, when you look into the lamp.” Dimensions:Ø 430 mm, height 263 mm.
“UNDER THE BELL” - coming soon!
“Under The Bell is not just a lampshade. When hung over a table or in an open environment it creates its own space within the bigger space. That way, the lamp embraces and shelters the table and people beneath it – both physically and in a more abstract sense. The recycled plastic felt even absorbs sound and helps improve the acoustics of your room.” Dimensions: height 46 cm, Ø 82 cm
“MHY PENDANT” - coming soon in various colours!
NORWAY SAYS ON THE DESIGN ”Mhy has an elegant appearance and a strong personality. The playful shape of Mhy draws inspiration from illustrations and characters from our childhood’s literature. The neat size of Mhy allows the pendant to be mounted in clusters or rows over your kitchen table, dining table, in a hallway or somewhere else where you would like to add a design element with unique, but understated character.” Dimensions: Ø 20,3 cm, height 24,5 cm
“THE DOTS” - coming soon in oak black and yellow!
LARS TORNØE ON THE DESIGN ”This characterful little family of hooks is a friendly addition to any wall. The Dots are proud of their round edges and will treat your clothes with the greatest care. They will also let you arrange them on your wall in the pattern you like. Being a very social set of hooks, The Dots love to welcome other Dots to join them on the wall. The only thing The Dots demand from you is that you uncover them every now and then and admire their shape and material” Dimensions: Large: Ø 170, Medium: Ø 130, Small: Ø 90 mm
“SURFACE EGG CUPS” - coming soon!
OLE JENSEN ON THE DESIGN ”A small hand-held and sculptural plateau with three small dents. One for the egg, one for the shells and one for salt - or whatever you might imagine! For breakfast - though maybe not everyday - for brunch and definitely for sunday mornings. To serve a boiled egg is almost a happening on its own. An eternal source of shared moments and discussion of whether it’s overcooked or not…”

Visconti Trays by Ibride, France.
Meet the whole family.
Alice of the Visconti Family; daughter of Hermance and Isidore, spouse of Alice, and mother to Edgar, Aristide, and Victoire. Alice inherited both gentleness and generosity from her mother Hermance. She dedicated her entire life to the beautiful family estate including its magnificent rose gardens and to its great aviary.
Meet Andrei of the Visconti Family; spouse of Alice and father to Edgar, Aristide, and Victoire. Above all a music lover, he was enthralled by Debussy’s harmonic compositions and by the expressiveness of the musical avant-garde. Andrei preferred his life with Alice to the Parisian ministries and salons. He preferred the countryside, his library, and the great aviary.
Hermance of the Visconti Family; spouse of Isidore and mother to Alice. Discreet, loving and benevolent, Hermance always remained in the shadow of her husband. And even though their daughter Alice was born while Isidore was doing his military service, this period of their lives was never clearly evoked.
Irina, the tastemaker of the Visconti Family and spouse of Vladimir and mother to Andrei. Irina directed her workroom of apprentice seamstresses for high style dress-making with the utmost rigor. In the clothing industry she was considered to be a level-headed character of taste, and supposedly even frequented the same social circles as Coco Chanel at her debut.
Vittoire of the Visconti Family, spouse of Irina and father to Andrei. Vittoire made his fortune in France by equipping the first luxury liners. He had an adventurous youth, and he devoted himself to his Father’s business landscaping.
Isidore, the orator of the Visconti Family and spouse of Hermance and father to Alice. Isidore is, without a shadow of a doubt, the great orator of the family. His account of the famous world fair and his description of his encounter with Hermance at the foot of the Eiffel tower, have gone down in family history.
Edgar of the Visconti Family; first son of Alice and Andrei. Following in his father’s footsteps, both ambitious and widely traveled, Edgar made the family business prosper. He even took great pride in having, on his own, brought the “sharkskin” up to date. But he constantly pinpointed his brother’s lack of ambition, thus giving rise to serious family conflicts.
Victoire of the Visconti Family; daughter of Alice and Andrei. Her passion and art lessons did not only teach her good manners. In the priviledged position of the youngest child, she adopted Sarah Bernhardt’s famous motto “despite all”, to exert her audacity and her total disregard for social conventions.
Aristide of the Visconti Family; Daughter of Alice and Andrei, sibling of Victoire and Edgar. Silent and composed, Aristide was perhaps the favourite of siblings, sharing with her mother’s passion for botany and japonisme.
Pick up your Visconti at Mint or give us a call and have it shipped to your home!
